Gilchrist Group CFA Blacksmith Graphic 2017Pamela Gilchrist, APR, Gilchrist Group CEO, and Chick-fil-A® have been named 2017 Public Relations Society (PRSA) Cincinnati Chapter Blacksmith Award’s finalists for Chick-fil-A Northern Kentucky’s “Stuff The Bus Challenge” media relations success.

Chick-fil-A, in partnership with area school districts, created the “Stuff The Bus Challenge,” a friendly competition between three Northern Kentucky Chick-fil-A restaurants to provide a fun, easy means for the community to donate school supplies for families in need.

Live coverage from two network TV stations throughout the morning, as well as digital, radio and print news stories topped more than 500,000 impressions. The Chick-fil-A Stuff The Bus Challenge collected more than 17,500 school supplies from 5,860 people in one day.

Media Mentions Drive Results For Kenton County School District

“The Kenton County School District is so thankful for Chick-fil-A’s efforts in getting the community to come out for the Stuff the Bus event. All of the local media coverage really helped drive traffic to the event. Stuff the Bus allowed Kenton County to collect more than 7,400 school supplies, which was more than we had ever collected.  The supplies, distributed to the Family Resource Centers, ensured that our students got off to a great start in the new school year!” said Jess Dykes, director of Public Information.
